Applications of BBa_K2015012

We combined BBa_K2015011 and mRFP(BBa_E1010) to be determined. You can observe red color colonies expressing mRFP. K2015011 contains plac(R0011) and is regulated by IPTG.
We prepared two samples, IPTG(+), IPTG(-). Fig. 1. shows the pictures of the two plates. The colonies with IPTG express Red color.

The results indicate the fact that IPTG(-) does not express mRFP, but IPTG(+) can express it. In other words, a LacI expression unit can strictly regulate plac in pSB1C3.
